A new citizen group is welcome to come to council anytime they want but Niagara Falls city council will not be working with them.
Dianne Munro from Citizens of Responsible Development in Niagara Falls made a brief presentation to council last night asking that councillors work with their group to promote responsible development that benefits the community as a whole.
Councillor Vince Kerrio however took offence to the presentation "I didn't like the approach, I didn't like the tone of your first comments accusing us of not really doing our jobs"
A motion to recognize and work with the group was defeated in a 5-2 vote.
Councillors Lori Lococco and Wayne Campbell were the two votes in favour.
Councillor Carolynn Ioannoni was absent from the meeting.
