Niagara Falls City Council held a special meeting this afternoon to address fears over the future of the city's two casinos.
Regional Chair Alan Caslin joining the city council meeting to talk about concerns about the OLG's process selecting a new operator for Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino.
Caslin asking that the RFP be withdrawn, and the city take possible legal action to protect jobs at the casinos.
Caslin asking that the resolution to be brought to Niagara Regional Council for discussion.
Local politicians are worried that up to 1,400 jobs could be affected.
They are concerned about the wording in the contract about job protection.
OLG expects to announce the successful service provider in the summer of 2018.
Several councillors expressed their support for the resolution and fears for the future of the casinos.
