Another age old building in Niagara Falls is coming down.
City council this week voting against a staff recommendation and will allow the Mount Carmel Monastary to tear down Avila Hall, a former convent.
A spokesman for the Monastary telling council it would take millions to restore the 83 year old building.
This is the third historic building council has agreed to demolish in the last several months.
The 153 year old former Niagara Falls courthouse and city hall on Queen Street is now a pile of rubble.
Council also agreed last year to tear down a 104 year old building on Lundy's Lane that used to be home to the city's parks and rec department.
