The Niagara Falls Green Party has chosen their candidate for the federal election.
Along with a focus on climate change, Sandra O'Connor lists her priorities as developing a national smart electrical grid, promoting rail transportation to Niagara, ensuring pension plans are sustainable, and developing a funding program to modernize water and sewage treatment.
In the past, O'Connor has worked for several conservation authorities, the University of Victoria, and established her own consulting company.
She was also involved in the Smarter Niagara Steering Committee and Save Our Local Hospital Committee as well as chairing the Niagara-On-The-Lake Urban Tree By-law Special Committee.
The federal election is coming up in October.
