A man has been charged after impersonating a police office in Niagara Falls.
It happened after an assault early Wednesday morning.
Police say a male was getting off a city bus near McLeod Rd. and Ailanthus Ave just after midnight when he was approached by a man who said he was a police officer.
The suspect then assaulted the victim and stole some personal property.
On Friday, police arrested 38-year-old Jamie Tries of Niagara Falls.
He is charged with robbery and personate peace officer.
