One person suffered life threatening injuries in a crash last night on Montrose Road just north of Lyons Creek in Niagara Falls.
Niagara Regional Police were called to the scene shortly after 8 p.m. after a group of 5 motorcycles encountered a deer crossing the roadway.
The 44 year old lead rider of the group collided with the deer, lost control of his bike and smashed into an on-coming vehicle.
The other motorcyclists managed to avoid the crash.
The occupants of the vehicle involved were not hurt, but the deer did not survive the collision.
The motorcyclist identified as a Niagara Falls resident was rushed to a U-S medical centre for treatment, there's no word on his condition.
The crash remains under investigation and any witnesses are asked to contact NRP.
