Pickup has been delayed around Niagara region since Christmas.
Mayor Jim Diodati, who is also a member of the public works committee, calls it a "trifecta" or "pefect storm" of problems
Diodati says the extra packaging at Christmas, staffing issues with Emterra, and the extreme cold and snow all contributed to the delays.
Diodati says they're looking at their options, including bringing in an outside provider.
Meantime, the region's annual Christmas tree collection is expected to go ahead as planned Saturday, January 13th.
