Downtown Niagara Falls is about to get a little more colourful as a new rainbow crosswalk is officially unveiled.
The push to install the crosswalk first started almost a year ago by community advocate Falynn Shaw and the final design was approved at the beginning of this year.
The Downtown BIA has covered 50 percent of the overall $3,000 cost.
Today's ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. this morning at the south side of the Queen Street and Erie Avenue intersection.
A virtual ceremony is available through the city's YouTube page.
This is Pride month.
