It looks like this heat wave in Niagara this week will go down in the history books.
According to Environment Canada's website we are now (as of 3:15pm) sitting at 32 degrees in St. Catharines.
That beats the previous highest temperature recorded back in 1978 of 29.4°C.
Environment Canada will make it official once final numbers are in.
Here's a fun fact - the coldest May 26th (between 1972-2000) was only 3.5°C back in 1994.
Yesterday also beat previous records, and if tomorrow turns out as planned it will also be in contention.
Wednesday's high is 30, and the previous record is 29.4°C which was set back in 1987.
