One winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake is offering free skating to the community on its outdoor rink.
Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery has opened a free rink with help from the local fire department.
Officials say the rink is available to use during winery operating hours.
Ravine staff member Ross Midgley, mentions what better to do in Canada when it's freezing than go ice skating.
"A free open rink, over looking the vineyards where people can bring their families and skate around in the beauty that is Niagara. "
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department got involved by helping flood the rink prior to its opening.
Midgley urges residents to come out, be Canadian and go for a skate.
The rink is only open when below zero degrees.
