A Niagara grape grower has been elected as the Chair of Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association.
Bill George was elected to the position at the 160th annual General Meeting in Niagara Falls on February 19th.
George has served on the Grape Growers of Ontario Board of Directors for 21 years, and was Chair from 2007 - 2016.
He was crowned Grape King in 2001.
The Association represents over 3,500 family farms.
He also represents Ontario as a Director on the Canadian Horticultural Council.
