The Niagara Region in partnership with the city of Hamilton, is leading a trade and investment mission to Colombia.
The goal is to build opportunities for local businesses.
The mission will be emphasizing the strengths of both regions including a combined population of more than a million, Hamilton's 24 hour cargo passenger airport, the Welland Canal system, as well as Niagara's four border crossings,
Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger says says they have been working with the Colombian government since the Pan Am games and the trade mission is a major step forward in cementing a business relationship.
