They won't name the company, but Buffalo officials say they are in talks with a Canadian hi-tech manufacturer looking at the Queen City as a possible location for a new facility.
Officials tell the Buffalo News, the company is considering a ten acre site in the city's new Lakeside Commerce Park.
Invest Buffalo Niagara CEO Thomas Kucharski won't say who it is, but adds the company has been meeting with them since early January.
Kurcharski admits there is strong competition among other regions to secure the new facility including some in Canada.
Buffalo officials have been focusing on Canadian companies over the past few years touting the benefits of setting up along the border.
