Niagara is officially moving into the next stage of the province's COVID-19 recovery framework.
Under Stage 3, kids are allowed to use playground equipment, restaurants can offer inside dining, and gyms and fitness studios can reopen.
The limit on indoor gatherings increases to 50 people, while up to 100 people can get together outside.
Physical distancing is still recommended as health care officials remind residents that COVID-19 is not yet gone.
Niagara Region Public Health is reporting 47 active cases of the virus, including 3 announced yesterday.
Niagara, Hamilton, Durham, Halton, Haldimand-Norfolk, Lambton, and York all transition into Stage 3 today.
