The pressure is on the Liberal government to provide a comprehensive dementia strategy.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says it's an issue that "deeply" affects his riding.
Gates says more than 9400 people in Niagara live with dementia. And there are over 200,000 people in Ontario.
He says without proper funding and front line care, a strategy means nothing.
Gates is calling on the government to make this a priority.
He says " it's heartbreaking" when you go to a care facility and see people who need these services but they can't get them.
