Niagara West-Glanbrook MPP Sam Oosterhoff says it's been a difficult week for the PC Party with sexual misconduct allegations coming out of nowhere.
The 20 year old says PC members are going to pick themselves up and look forward to the election with a strong platform and a positive message of change.
He tells CKTB it's been a difficult week when it comes to party unity, tough decisions and very serious allegations that have come forward against senior members of the PC team.
Oosterhoff says the allegations really sprung out of nowhere for many and they obviously raise concerning questions about state of affairs when it comes to not just within the party, but really in positions of power how people are viewing these types of situations.
Oosterhoff wouldn't say who he would like see lead the party, but says he is very confident in the ability of interim leader Vic Fedeli to make the right decisions.
"He's been decisive, he's a man of integrity, he has someone who has a wealth of experience both in business and in elected office. I think we are moving beyond this very quickly, and in a well put together fashion."
Oosterhoff tweeted shortly after former PC Party President Rick Dykstra stepped down last night amid a sexual assault accusation.
"The allegations brought forward against Mr. Dykstra are shocking and very serious. My thanks go to the brave women who have come forward this past week. All men must be held - & hold themselves -to a higher level of respect and integrity. This abuse must end."
