Police officers from Niagara are on their way to take part in the annual Ride to Remember.
For the 18th year, participants will bike 700 kilometres from the Ontario Police College in Alymer to the Canadian Police and Peace Officers' Memorial in Ottawa.
The ride is meant to raise awareness of the annual Canadian Police and Peace Officers' National Memorial Service, where tribute it paid to more than 860 fallen officers. The service will be held on Parliament Hill Sunday morning at 11 a.m.
Although the ride officially gets underway at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow morning, Niagara officers set out from District Three in the rain this morning to take part.
The cyclists are expected to arrive in the nation's capital on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. after meeting up with the National Police and Peace Officers' Run to Remember in Toronto on Thursday.
