A big change in Niagara-on-the-Lake as incumbent Lord Mayor Patrick Darte loses his seat to Betty Disero.
Disero, a town councillor and former Toronto City Councillor was the winner in the three-candidate race receiving 50 percent of the vote.
Darte came in 2nd with 36 percent of the vote.
23 year old Daniel Turner also ran for the Mayor's seat and came in 3rd with 16 percent of the vote.
When it comes to Regional Council four candidates were in the running but Gary Zalepa Jr. was the winner with 31 percent of the vote.
Eight town councillors have been elected including Clare Cameron, Gary Burroughs, John Wiens, Wendy Cheropita, Allan Bisback and Norm Arsenault.
Voter turnout in NOTL was 58%.
