Niagara-on-the-Lake is working with Radiant Care Pleasant Manor to expand long-term care and senior support care programs in the municpality.
Lord Mayor Betty Disero joined CKTB's Matt Holmes to discuss the expansion of the facility.
She says 120 beds will be added, but the focus is on more than just increasing capacity, explaining that Pleasant Manor wants to create a campus that will facilitate a great experience for seniors.
She went on to explain that the town has a higher than average senior population, and that a community hub idea for senior care has always been desired and discussed.
The opening date for the expansion project is set for 2022.
