Volunteers who want to make Niagara a little greener are invited to join Niagara Parks for a tree planting day at Rapidsview Park.
Community members will be rolling up their sleeves and planting trees on Saturday, May 4th from 10 a.m. until noon.
Trees and mulch will be provided, but anyone who wants to participate is encouraged to bring their own shovel and gardening gloves.
Pre-registration is required.
Officials say participation in the tree planting day can also count towards high school students' volunteer hours.
The Niagara Parks forestry team will also be offering free wood chip mulch as part of the annual Project Tree-Cycle at Kingsbridge Park.
