The NPCA says it is not expecting any major flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Gordon.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Niagara with as much as 50mm of rain expected to fall. The rain will start late this evening and taper off by tomorrow afternoon or evening.
The NPCA says water levels in creeks and rivers are currently well below critical thresholds. However, localized flooding of low-lying areas prone to flooding is possible.
It will continue to monitor the condition of watercourses and issue messages if required.
This notice is in effect until noon on Tuesday.
