Niagara Regional Police Services Board has passed their 2018 capital budget, with chair Bob Gale praising top brass for the spending plan.
The budget calls for 4.6 million in capital expenditures, almost two million dollars less than anticipated.
But it's still close to a million more than police spent this year.
Now comes the tough part, talks will begin in September on the 2018 operating budget, which includes police salaries.
This year's operating budget stands at just over 137 million dollars.
