Niagara Regional Chair Jim Bradley is expressing some concerns about the province's regional approach to reopening the economy.
Bradley says with Niagara entering Phase Two on Friday but Toronto and Peel Region still in Phase One, we could see a large number of people coming to Niagara for a visit.
He adds "normally we would be greeting with open arms but many of whom may be carrying the virus, so when they come down we will have to place a special emphasis on them following the rules."
Originally Premier Ford was opposed to a regional reopenings, insisting on a "one size fits all" approach, because he feared Toronto residents would drive down the highway to get a haircut for example, if the city was not allowed to reopen at the same pace as other areas.
Yesterday, Health Minister Christine Elliot said in a tweet that 70 percent of the 181 new cases of COVID-19 were in Toronto or Peel.
