Niagara is getting ready for its first major snowstorm of the year.
The City of St. Catharines is putting S'No Parking into effect starting a 6 a.m. Saturday.
This will allow crews to remove snow from city streets.
There are no fines associated with S'No Parking. However, parking tickets may be issued in some cases under the city's parking bylaw.
The S'No Parking will remain in effect until Monday at 4 p.m.
The City will also be opening up warming centres at Market Square and the Russell Avenue Community Centre this weekend for anyone who needs a place to keep warm and escape the exceptionally cold temperatures and winter weather elements.

Residents are encouraged to spread the word about the City’s warming centres and check in on family, friends and neighbours, especially those who may be vulnerable to cold-weather related illnesses.
Meantime, the Town of Lincoln is asking residents to remove their cars from the street to assist snow plows to get to your road.
The focus of snow removal will be on primary roads, or roads requiring frequent emergency access.
There will be a warming centre Sunday, Jan. 20 at Jordan Arena & Fleming Centre from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
The City of Welland's Cold Alert Program offers warming stations at some city-owned facilities and Public Library Branches when temperatures drop below minus 15ºC.
