Hundreds of people joined peaceful demonstrations in Niagara to call for an end to police brutality and racism.
Demonstrators marched from the Salem Chapel BME to St. Catharines City Hall yesterday afternoon, adding their voices to the ongoing worldwide protests.
Protesters also staged a rally in Beamsville.
Locally, Niagara Public Health officials remind anyone who attended a rally to monitor themselves for signs of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, large rallies continue in parts of the US and Europe.
Multiple protesters were hit by a police SUV when it drove up onto the curb near a statue of Robert E. Lee in Richmond, Virginia.
