Hundreds of gently used or new purses filled with love have been donated to the Niagara Purse Project.
The third annual campaign wraps up today.
Organizors Sarah Boville and Mandi Neiser say they have exceeded their goal of a thousand purses filled with items in need.
Those purses are then given to women in need, in crisis or who are homeless with the help of 12 participating agencies.
Sarah tells us the donated items go a long way to helping women, especially those who are fleeing a bad situation at home.
The pair say they are overwhelmed by the generosity of local residents adding they couldn't do it without the help of all the volunteers who help pickup and distribute the purses.
