Niagara real estate sales followed a national trend in June dropping more than 22 per cent from a year ago.
But while sales are slowing down in Niagara, home values continue to climb.
The Niagara Association of Realtors recently released sales statistics for June.
The average home in Niagara is now priced at just over $457,456 that's up from $341,181 from the year before which represents at 34 per cent increase in price.
Welland continues to offer the cheapest housing in Niagara with the average price coming in at $341,181.
NOTL saw the biggest jump in price with the average house now costing $882,687 compared to $541,480 from a year ago.
