Officials with the Niagara Region will be making an appearance as a citizen's group brings legal action against the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
According to the St. Catharines Standard, the Region's acting CAO Ron Tripp confirms regional officals will be at the Welland courthouse when A Better Niagara submits the application tomorrow morning at 10 a.m..
The citizen's group says they are trying to tackle the 'stalemate' surrounding the NPCA's board makeup as the Authority insists Niagara is only entitled to 5 board members instead of the 12 that have been appointed by the municipalities.
The paper quotes Tripp as stating they are 'a respondent' to the application, and will be present to maintain their status with the proceedings.
