Officials say a well-respected advisor to Niagara business leaders is joining the Niagara Region as Director of Economic Development.
Domenic Ursini will step into the role on July 30th.
In the past, Ursini has worked at the Business Development Bank of Canada and Scotiabank where he oversaw the development of the small business and professional banking department.
He also served as Chair of the Niagara Industrial Association between 2016 - 2018, and as a Board Member of the Port Colborne Economic and Tourism Development Corporation where he helped develop and implement Vision 20/20, the city's community based tourism strategy.
Ursini says, "I look forward to working alongside my colleagues both at Niagara Region and across Niagara to foster an environment of strong economic growth and prosperity that is measured by our results. Together with our partners, we will continue to build a strong collaboration with the business and corporate community to succeed in acquisition and retention of both new and existing enterprises."
