Some big changes to the Niagara Regional Housing Board of Directors.
The board has been reduced from 14 directors to five regional councillors and four community directors.
Board Chair Henry D'Angela says the board will be well positioned to act quickly to new opportunities.
He adds the federal National Housing Strategy details will be announced soon and we want to make sure we are ready to take advantage of any funding.
D'Angela who is the regional councillor for Thorold, will be joined on the board by fellow councillors Paul Grenier, Tim Rigby, Walter Sendzik and Selena Volpatti.
The new community directors are Betty Ann Baker with Niagara Peninsula Homes, Karen Blackley, a local real estate broker and James Hyatt, an aviation management consultant.
