A suspect has been arrested after an Amber Alert this afternoon.
The alert was sent out around 12:30 p.m. as police searched for a 6 year old boy and his father.
Niagara Regional Police officials say the man surrendered himself at the St. Catharines police office on Church Street at 1:10 p.m. as a direct result of the alert.
He was arrested without incident and the child is safe and unharmed.
The investigation continues, and police ask anyone with more information to give them a call.
Officials have not yet released details on potential charges.
