A Niagara Regional Police Sergeant sprung into action to save a man from a smoke filled home.
Sgt. Langlais was on general patrol in St. Catharines early Friday morning when he noticed a large amount of smoke coming from a house.
Sgt. Langlais unsuccessfully tried to wake up the residents from outside before making his way into the home.
He located the single male occupant and escorted him to safety.
The incident has been deemed not suspicious and damage to the home is minimal.
