As provincial parks and some Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority areas reopen residents are reminded to keep an eye out for ticks.
Niagara's Manger of Environment Health Peter Jekel says the bugs are definitely still out there.
"Pretty well all of Niagara Region, especially the eastern component, is pretty well considered a risk area for black legged ticks."
Black legged ticks can carry Lyme Disease.
Public Health offices are closed, so they are not accepting ticks for testing and identification.
Light coloured clothing can make it easier to spot the bugs on you, and residents are encouraged to wear bug spray with DEET or Icaridin.
