Quick to bring change to Niagara, the newly sworn-in Regional Council is stepping into the troubled waters of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
The council has selected an interim board of directors to replace the current Niagara NPCA Board members.
Hamilton and Haldimand members will remain on the board.
The term will last three months, giving local municipalities the opportunity to pick suitable appointments to the board.
Back in September Ontario's Auditor General released a report into the NPCA saying it had significant operational issues to address in order to restore public trust.
Bonnie Lysyk says her audit found the NPCA Board’s oversight were two of the key contributors to the operational problems at the NPCA that have been the subject of public concerns and criticisms.
