Niagara is still in good shape when it comes to flooding that has impacted many parts of Ontario.
Four communities across Ontario have now declared emergencies due to flooding, including the nation's capital, which has called in the military to help with flood protection.
Huntsville, Bracebridge and Minden Hills have also declared states of emergencies.
Ryan Kitchen from the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority says Niagara is in good shape, saying most of the areas impacted by flooding in Ontario's north still have snow on the ground.
He says Niagara is free of snow, so recent rain has been absorbed by the ground.
Kitchen says Lake Ontario levels are set to rise, but he isn't expecting any major flooding.
It was back in 2017 Lake Ontario levels peaked and caused flooding in Port Dalhousie.
Meantime, Federal Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says the flooding affecting much of Eastern Canada right now is the result of climate change.
Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for parts of Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick, warning that as much as 50 millimetres of rain could fall in some areas by tomorrow afternoon.
The Niagara region is not part of the statement.
