Niagara will be getting millions of dollars under a federal homelessness strategy.
Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development Jean-Yves Duclos launched the Reaching Home: Canada's Homelessness Strategy today.
Starting today, the government has pledged $5.2 million over the next five years for Niagara.
The government will also be expanding the program's reach by up to six new communities through an application process.
This comes as the federal Liberals continue to pledge to reduce homelessness by 50 percent by 2027-2028.
