We are now just hours away from the polls closing at 8pm.
If you haven't voted in today's municipal election, you better get moving.
Out of 12 municipalities in Niagara, five will have new mayors.
Grimsby, Pelham, Port Colborne, Wainfleet and Thorold will have new leadership after Mayor's decided not to run, or are running for Regional Council.
This municipal election started with controversy on the morning of the deadline to file.
PC Leader and Premier Doug Ford announced back on July 27th that Niagara voters would not be allowed to vote for a Regional Chair.
This would have marked the first time voters selected the chair instead of Regional Council.
This year will be the same as year's past with successful Regional councillors selecting a new Chair amongst their peers.
The process will start the beginning of December.
The only major change in the voting landscape this year is that West Lincoln has been granted an additional Regional Council seat.
CKTB's Tom McConnell and Matt Holmes will have the latest election results starting at 8 tonight, but we will also keep you informed online.
Our pre-election show starts at 7pm.
