CKTB's election spotlight focused on the Mayor's race in Port Colborne today.
Incumbent John Maloney is not seeking re-election meaning the city will have a new mayor after the election.
Wainfleet Alderman Betty Konc, former Port Colborne city councillor Bill Steele, local businessman Wayne Elliott and local steel worker Ron St. Jean are all seeking the top job.

Both Konc and Steele listed high water bills as a top priority if they're elected.
Wayne Elliott's top priority is addressing an increase in crime in the city.
Ron St. Jean did not reply to our request for an interview.
Speaking to CKTB Konc said one of her main issues if elected will be dealing with high water bills.
Konc says she wants to have audit done on the city's water.

Speaking to CKTB Bill Steele said the water issue is a top priority.
Steele wants to put a strong plan together, that is financially viable for the city.
He says the faster they get it fixed, the sooner the bills will go down.

Speaking to CKTB Wayne Elliott has serious concerns about increased crime in the city.
Elliott says with stabbings at events and business owners getting threatened, he hopes to get to the bottom of the issue in the area.
