It's a tale of two regions separated by a lake, and a ball that made a solo journey across the water.
During Easter Weekend, Carol Penner from Vineland found a ball washed up on the Lake Ontario shore with the words 'Etobicoke Soccer Club' and the name 'Emily' written on it.
"I looked across the lake and I thought, well, Etobicoke is straight across the lake here," Penner says. "I wonder if this ball made a trip."
After Penner posted pictures of the ball on Facebook, she was able to get in contact with the original owner, Emily.
But how did the ball get in the lake in the first place?
"During the summer my family loves to go boating," Emily explained. "And maybe the ball rolled out of the trunk of the car when we were launching the boat."
Plans are in the works to reunited Emily with her ball.
