No charges will be laid after an investigation into a case of cat hoarding in Beamsville.
The Ontario SPCA says it will not press charges after finding nearly 100 cats last year at a Merritt Road address.
The animal protection agency was originally called to the home in 2016 and at the time found no evidence of abuse or neglect.
They were called in again late last year and removed 98 cats.
Another 100 deceased cats were found on the property, some in barrels.
But the SPCA told the Hamilton Spectator, it did not find "any credible evidence that could be substantiated to lay charges."
