The numbers are in and as expected we got hit with a lot of rain.
Environment Canada's Geoff Coulson says at their Vineland Station they recorded 92 mm of rain so far for the month of May.
He notes normal rainfall for the entire month is typically around 76.4 mm.
Coulson adds Welland has received 90.7 mm so far this month compared to the typical monthly average of 85.2 mm.
The meteorologist adds they will have to wait and see until how the rest of the month goes, before they determine whether the rainfall is a record breaker for May.
As for the long term forecast, he notes temperatures should return to normal by the second half of the month.
