When the North American Indigenous Games kick off this weekend in Toronto, organizers say they will feature not only exciting sports but an important cultural exchange.
This is the first time Ontario will host the international event, which showcases Indigenous athletes 19 and younger, competing in 14 sports.
More than five-thousand athletes from Canada and the U-S will compete at venues in Toronto, Hamilton and nearby Six Nations.
Some of the events will be held at state-of-the-art venues that were built for the 2015 Pan-Parapan American Games.
