Niagara on the Lake councillors have approved this year's operating budget.
The nearly $13 million spending plan includes an 8.62 percent tax increase.
That means the average homeowner with a property assessed at $530,000 will pay $92 more this year on their tax bill.
Those living in urban areas will also pay for an increase in the town's storm levy which will add another $4 dollars to their tax bill.
Lord Mayor Betty Disero says "This budget allows the Town to provide additional services that residents and businesses have been asking for, such as by-law enforcement."
