A meeting to discuss a controversial resort development in Niagara on the Lake has been moved to the town's community centre, as officials anticipate a large turnout.
The Heritage Committee meeting is set for tomorrow to consider an application by Two Sister's Winery to build a large resort on the former site of the historic Randwood Estate
on John Street East.
At issue a proposal to build a six storey hotel on the 13 acre property.
Two Sister's plans to keep three existing buildings including the Randwood House, The Sheets guest house and the Coach House.
But it is the hotel tower that is raising eyebrows.
Residents are allowed to attend the meeting, but the Heritage Committee does not provide opportunities for public comment.
Comments can be made when town council meets to discuss the plan.
