Niagara on the Lake may join the list of local municipalities sending a message to regional government to butt out of municipal affairs.
Town councillor Paolo Miele serving notice he plans to introduce a motion at the next council meeting spearheaded by the city of Port Colborne.
The motion comes out against a resolution recently approved by regional council respecting the financial position of the Town of Pelham.
The region's audit committee wants the Ontario Muncipal Board to investigate Pelham's debtload and its financing of a 30 million dollar community centre, now under construction.
St. Catharines and Thorold have also backed to the Port Colborne motion.
