Niagara on the Lake will host a public meeting next week to discuss plans to implement a hotel accommodation tax.
The town is considering a four percent tax on accommodations and wants to work with the tourism industry to figure out the best way to collect it.
The move comes after the province passed legislation allowing municpalities to impose a tax on hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and Airbnb style accommodations.
The meeting is set for Monday, January 22nd at 6pm at town hall.
