Tuesday's thunderstorm and light show caused some significant damage to the Niagara River Parkway in Fort Erie.
Damaging winds resulted in fallen trees covering the roadway and properties from Fort Erie to south of the Floral Showhouse.
Niagara Parks Commission staff have begun initial clean up, but the work is expected to take about two weeks.
Crews worked overnight to clear the roadway.
Rapidsview Park also sustained significant damage and Forestry crews will be assessing the situation over the next few days.
