Mark Brickell is out as CAO at the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
What exactly happened is not clear.
Late yesterday, the NPCA posted a release on its website stating Lisa McManus, who has previously served as the organization's clerk, has taken over as the organization's interim chief administrative officer and secretary-treasurer.
It made no mention of Brickell who took over as CAO in April 2017.
In an email to CKTB news NPCA communications staff would only confirm that Brickell is no longer with the organization.
The board of directors recently met behind closed twice in special session during the last week discussing personel issues.
The agency refused to elaborate on what those issues were.
