A new code of conduct for board members of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is up for approval at today's meeting.
A controversial pledge included in the draft code, called on board members to promise "absolute loyalty" to the agency, and those who failed to do so would be sanctioned or removed from the board.
A sub-committee set up to study the draft code decided earlier this month to remove the controversial pledge.
Board member and Regional Councillor Tony Quirk admits the wording in the draft could have been better and says some minor modifications have been made.
Today's board meeting is set for 9:30 a.m.
