More staff changes announced at the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
The agency announcing today former Port Colborne Regional Councillor Dave Barrick as the new acting CAO.
Lisa McManus who was just announced last week as the interim CAO has resigned from that position and is now on a leave of absence from the agency.
McManus took over after former CAO Mark Brickell was fired by the old board of directors last Thursday.
Brickell had held the job for just 20 months.
On Thursday, the St. Catharines Standard reported that former CAO Brickell, had actually terminated the employment of Dave Barrick in November, but that the NPCA had rehired him and promoted him to the position of CAO.
In a statement from the NPCA's Michael Reles the role of the Interim CAO is to move the organization forward through this transition and to ensure that the NPCA has the capacity and resources to complete not only the day-to-day operational requirements of the organization but continues to implement the Auditor General recommendations and the Strategic Plan 2018-2021.
The Interim CAO will support the 2019 Board of Directors in their search of a new Chief Administrative Officer.
